Subject: 84 engine swap need more help please

Hello all, As some of you may already know I recently swapped an 1984 turbo engine out of my 84 900T and put in an 85 900 8 valve (non turbo). I purchased new CV shafts, and it appears that the drivers side is too long. I have tried switching sides and it appears that I was given shafts that are the same size for both sides. Do you know if there is a difference in the sizes on 84, and 85 shafts? As I ordered shafts for an 84. It appears that there is no difference in the positioning of the transaxle. Do you think I was just given the wrong part for the drivers side? Or is there a problem when changing year and model of motors? Thanks in advance Fingerpie
