Hi, Before we go too far have you tried the flasher unit, the fact that the inidcators come on and freeze suggests that there is power passing through the switch so I would try a known good flasher unit first. If it is the switch it shouldnt bee too difficult to change. I have just changed the indicator switch on my 9000T (literaly this morning !) It is a very easy job on the 9000 and I suspect (but dont know) that the 900 is almost indenitcal. As far as I am aware the only difference crusie makes is whether you have the extra switches on the stalk. If you do then there is an extra multi-pole connector at the bottom of the switch but it really isnt a problem. Be carful when buying a switch, on the 9000 there where 2 or 3 different versions (the switch is troublesome particularly on the lighting circuit which tends to get hot). You need to specify whether or not you have cruise and also whether your full-beam control is a click-on-click-off type where the switch makes and holds the contact or whether it is a momentary contact with a secondary latching relay which switches on with one contact from the stalk and off with the next. To change the switch on the 9K you need to remove the steering column cowling (4 torx screws underneath). Unclip the top and bottom halfs of the cowling and remove. The left and right hand stalks are seperate and there is no need to remove the steering wheel. Next disconnect the three multi-pin plugs from the switch, noting which goes where and which way round (they are protected against going in the wrong orientation, but not the wrong place). The swicth itself is held in place by 2 torx screws, remove these from underneath then slide the swich straight down. Slide the new switch in (making sure its sits in the grooved section of the housing), refit the connectors, refit the screws, refit the cowling and bobs-your-uncle.
