From Auto express 9-5: 2.0 31 MPG ins gr 13 2.3 30 MPG ins gr 14 The 2.3 now has been upped to 185 hp against the 2.0 150 hp. I've heard that the 2.3 is not as smooth running as the 2.0 . The 2.3 is near the practical limit for a 4 cyl, but you will have to test the cars to see if that matters. I have a 9000 CSE 2.0 lpt which is very good, but since the 9-5 is about 100 kg heavier, I would probably be drawn to the 9-5 2.3 . Either throw a coin or test the cars yourself. Don't rely too much on armchair racing. Johannes
