Thanks for all the info... My 84 had some very early pulley issues, but my 89 did need that pulley replaced as well, I think it was 160K or so. Somebody told me that filling the tank more often is easier on the fuel pump because it keeps it cooler. Also my car is rusty and after the dealer changed the Fuel Injection computer they added a new ground near the fuel pump. My theory is that the ground went intermittant and killed the computer. I wonder if there is a way to confirm and/or prevent that? Must be the dealer has decided to change more than just the clutch when it goes?
