MB2day <nieuwsgrnopsamectmbl no spammm .demon.nl> pressed random keys until the following was produced: > 4 months ago I bought my first 9-3. It is a 2.0 lpt Business Edition (with > LPG). Then the same problem > appeared. > They still can't fix it (after 5 attempts!!!) They replaced almost > everything (computer, injectionthings exhaust, lamda etc.) Respectfully, I would submit given the problem that you list, and the fixes they have tried, the problem was initially with the car, but the bigger problem is that the dealership doesn't know what they're doing. If the compression is 20% of what it should be on that cylinder, then the computer, injectors, exhaust, and lambda sensors are very much the entirely wrong parts to be looking at; compression is all about the block, the rings, the piston, and the valves. They're changing external stuff for an internal problem, and they're either lying to you or don't have the first clue of what the heck they're doing. > 2) > Rear seat makes noise. It doesnt fit. It moves a few milimeters. After 4 > repair attempts the problem is still there. ( I had the leather seats build > in afterwards bij the dealer. ) Waitaminute... these are *aftermarket* seats, are you saying? Hard to blame Saab for that, innit? Even if that's not what you're saying, why have they failed to fix a rattle problem in 4 tries? Sounds like again their troubleshooting is suspect. > 3) > Water in the headlights. It looks like an aquarium. Replacing the headlights > didn't solve the problem. Water keeps running in. Then they didn't install them right, and screwed up the seals. > 4) > Rear suspension makes a lot of metal cracking noise. (3 attempts trying to > fix, no solution). I see a pattern here. Is there another Saab dealer you could take your car to? > 5) Headlights dim every few minutes when the ACC turns on. The dealer wont take the car back and I'm not happy to > sue the dealer. So, you'll badmouth the manufacturer for an obviously incompetant dealer, instead. Interesting. Dave Hinz
