How do you know my bank balance? Wishful thinking, unfortunately. I think one reason that an old Saab is a good bet is that they have usually been well maintained by their owners from new. A Saab is (or was) an unusual and individual choice by people who cared more for their cars than owners/ keepers of e.g. Fords or Vauxhalls. This even applies to the garages. My first new car was a Ford Fiesta. When entering the car for service, I was greeted with the question: Company name please? To which I replied: *&%$F-you! that's my car. Johannes
