I have a '94 900 Turbo Conv, and used the remote every day for about 2-3 months before I started having problems with the central locking system not working. The batteries lasted quite a long time. I replaced the remote via the dealer, and the cost was about $140. because the chip in the car had to be re-programmed. You should take the car and remote to the dealer and have it checked out.
