Have had a 9.3 diesel for about 6months, now done 21k and its getting faster all the time. far better in my opinion than the Passat 130 which friends have and also quicker (and far far better equipped) than the bosses 320 BMW. Does about 45mpg but does use more oil (although this appears to be settling down) than my old Rover 420SDi. Only criticism is vibration period about 100revs either side of 2000rpm which is a pain. Dealer says its normal but I understand that the ECU has been remapped for 2002 to get rid of this and to give quiter idling.
