I usually have added 1 bottle of Stop Leak at most every year, or with a coolant change (every other year). On the other hand.....the head gasket on the 9000 suddenly blew the other day. I shut off the engine immediately, but the head had already developed 3 cracks from the inrush of coolant. I think the Bar's Stop Leak had been masking a minor gasket leak for some time (just speculation, from inspecting the gasket & head).
