I'm not sure which ones I have, but the website wouldn't steer you wrong. Dealers also always have Thule's comprehensive list of car makes/years/models, which must contain the 1989 Saab 900. > Will the snowboard attachment or rack be running across my beloved sun roof? The front cross bar will run across the sun roof. I've found that with boards or a bike on the rack, if my sunroof is only opened part of the way noise isn't a problem, as long as the cross bar is behind the opening. You can also buy an air dam type accessory for the rack. If seeing the bar through the sun roof is a problem for you, then I'm afraid you're out of luck. If it's positioned correctly on the car, it'll be right above the opening. > I saw another ad online somewhere for a similar rack, without locks going > for $50. That's 1/3 the price of a THULE or Yakima. Wandering how reliable > they are though. I am thinking primarily of my snowboards for now. I invest a lot of money in my boards and mountainbike. If I have $1000 worth of boards or bike on my roof, $200 for a roof rack that will keep them on the car and last forever is not a big deal. I've heard too many stories from people who buy cheapo racks only to have them fail at high speed or in high winds. I'm sure either the Thule or Yakima will suit your needs perfectly. -jw -- 1984 900 S hatchback 140K mi.
