I've had good luck with the conductive paint, although I haven't had to use it on my Saab. You use the paint in conjunction with a battery-operated circuit tester, which sends a current through the wires, and helps you to identify the exact point at which there is a break. Then you fill in the break with the conductive paint. The most difficult part of the exercise is cleaning up the blobs of conductive paint, so that they are inconspicuous.
