Subject: '97 9000 Aero vs. '99 9-5 SE

Hello all, I have been frequenting this newsgroup for about a month, since I drove my first Saab. I have found a lot of useful information here and appreciate the help everyone offers. I have been considering upgrading to a luxury car as well as a 5-spd and drove a 9-5 by chance, and discovered what a great car it is. I have since driven quite a few other 9-5's looking for the right one, as well as making sure it is really the car I want. I keep driving them soon after driving other cars that I have looked at (Acura TL, Lincoln LS 5-spd, Audi A4) and keep coming back to the Saab. I am under no time frame, just waiting for a great car at a great price to come along. I am looking for opinions on the 9000 vs. the 9-5. I have yet to drive a 9000, but have recently come across the fact I could afford a '97 9000 Aero for about the same price as the '99 9-5's that I have been looking at. If anyone has experience with either of these cars, or opinions on the quality of build/quirks of the different models, or cost to maintain, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all the help. Happy Holidays
