For C&D, the bottom line in a close competition all comes down to cupholders. Saab lost big points there. Seriously, though... as shown in the earlier post, Saab won in many of the performance categories. So why did it lose ? Because C&D subjectively tunes their tests to consider "most important" those features that they liked best. And lets face it, they just don't like Saab so it's pre-destined to lose. They love BMW, so it *always* wins their tests. I'll comment on just one specific point: Styling. If the 9-3 came out as a "new" design today, they'd say "refreshing, new, futuristic, invigorating, creative, unique". But since it evolves from an earlier design stream, it's "dated". SSDD, Bob
