One of the items that I have wanted to fix since I have owned the car is the tires, which were (back and front) low-profile Michelin Pilots. They produce a harsh, noisy ride, in my view. I do not want this, since my other car (a Mazda MX-5 Miata) satisfies my needs for sporty performance. The rear tires on the the Saab needed replacement. I was told at NTB that the alternatives were Pirellis, Michigan Pilots, or Yohohama tires. I had never heard of Yokohama tires. However, on the advice that the Yokohamas would provide a better ride, I opted for them. There has been an immediate improvement, and I may replace the front tires soon, even though I could probably eke out some more miles from them.
