Buy the one with the least rust and the best mechanical condition. I bought a new 1986 900 base model, just like the one you are looking at. I sold it 16 years later because the front end rusted out. Why did the front end rust out - because it was the best handling car in the snow and ice and spent a lot of play time on salt covered roads. It would go up hills where four wheel drives were spinning their wheels. The secret is the engine layout and the lack of power. It was very difficult to get the front wheels to break loose because it only had about 110 hp. "Toomas Anij”rv" wrote: > Hello > > After selling my volvo I'm looking for Saab.
