If you override the dump valve, the system will >switch off the fuel pump! The trick is to adjust the boost controller so that the boost comes up just below the level that triggers fuel cut. That way you maximize the boost without causing run problems. In practice, you can only hit fuel cut if you run wide open anyway. Properly adjusted, the boost valve will give you much more boost more quickly, which is the real advantage over the ECU controller which starts dumping boost immediately in order to provide a smoother throttle curve. Response is much better with a manual controller on 1999 and earlier models. Results on the later (Trionic ?) controllers have been mixed. An ECU upgrade is better but costs $500 to $1000 USd. Bob
