Subject: Re: APC-Problem: Pressure too high

Thanks a lot for a the good hints. I had to learn a couple of things about my car: There is only one ECU (electronic control unit) whatsoever in the 1996 Saab - controlling both fuel and the airflow. All my valves and pipes were fine. First I suspected the hooter valve (the typical noise was missing very often). Then I almost thought having found the fault in the APC-Valve...NOPE! The dealer changed the ECU - no success. Finally it was the DI-cassette. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not. Even my garage was not able to reproduce the fault - until I demonstrated it. So, simple but expensive fault. Too bad they couldnĄt find the fault in the memory...!
