Has anyone had to deal with cleaning up badly rusted rear brake calipers on a 1994+ 900s? My mechanic said the back brakes on my 900s are all rust and recommends replacing the rear brakes for $550 (including the 'expensive' calipers). The Saab garage wants $850 for doing the same job, but says they rarely have to replace the calipers and I would save $500 if that were omitted. Saab said they can clean them up. What would you do?
