I've got a 94 900S V6 that apparently is 'known' for ripping both apart. Found out when it happened at ~85k mi. Luckily the bozo that was driving (housemate) didn't try to go very far when he didn't hear the noise over the radio. ;/ Local Saab guru (not authorized Saab mechanic mind you - but the guy knows how to read a manual and how to fix Saabs) did the job for something like $35 a pulley and maybe an hour and a half of labor. He charges $65/hr which seems to be the norm in NE (if not low) for Saab mechanics. I know it's not the same engine, so I hope this helps someone...
