Exactly right. I went in and mucked around (technical term) with a small screwdriver and discovered there's a dummy plate (where the TCS button usually goes?) that popped right out, leaving me lots of wiggle room to pull the rheostat out. Incidentally, the gnarly looking connections that made it seem like it would be a struggle are actually the electrical connections. The physical connection into the dash is quite minor -- barely clasped at all. Strike another blow for alt.autos.saab. Thanks!!!
