I have a similar situation only the right front speaker. Took the radio out - make sure u have the codes - and unplugged the connectors and plugged them in again and it seemed to solve the problem for a couple of months. The problem is back. Also took the passenger's kick plate off (beside the console) and did the same with the amplifier. Just got a complete set of Saab dealer manuals and it suggests to tighten the RCA connectors (round ones) as a possible problem. Last resort - I give the radio a swat and the noise stops which leads me to believe the problem is at the top end not at the amp. Hope this helps Brian Earl wrote: > Car is a '98 9000CSE 2.3L Turbo Auto Trans- > > Frequently, when listening to the stereo (radio, CD, or tape) I notice a > strong hum coming from the left rear speaker when I turn on the parking > lights or headlights.
