This is a fairly common problem. Thankfully, they almost always break when turning a low speed, causing little damage. Tends to be very high mileage cars which are affectd (200k+) Check them carefully at 6 month intervals, and if you see any signs of a crack, replace the arm. Safe Saabin, Grunff
