Subject: Throttle Position Switch - '92 9000 CS 2.3 16i

Vehicle: '92 9000 CS 2.3 16i (non-turbo) Symptoms: Poor acceleration, severe missing under load, high fuel consumption. Further to my acceptance of other people's ideas in an earlier post, I decided earlier today to test the Throttle Position Switch using a multimeter on its resistance setting. This was my best guess test method. All I could get was a short circuit between all three possible pairs of contacts, for all throttle positions. So it would appear that either my test method was invalid, or the unit is defective. Does anyone know what the expected test method for the Throttle Position Switch and results should be? All responses appreciated Thanks Adrian
