Not sure, but I am fairly certain that Saab actually recommends
engine oil in the tranny. A lot of folks have used Mobil-1 synthetic
as their tranny oil. Saab also sells a recommended synthetic, or
maybe part synthetic, oil. Be sure to flush it by draining, filling,
running for a few minutes, then draining and re filling.
I myself am a little leery of synthetics where non-synthetics have
been for a long time due to seal issues.
