Subject: Engine trouble



My NG900 Convertible broke down on Thursday night.  The fanbelt tensioned
pulley collapsed, chewing the belt up in the process.

Anyway the guy at the local specialist claims it's a common problem.  The
car has 78K miles and a full service history.  So the question is...is it a
common problem?

Is there anything I can do to stop this happening again?
