Has anyone heard of fuel gauges going south on a model this >recent? Hello, I had this problem last week and just got my car fixed, I could only get 10 gallons into the tank. (I had a cracked fuel pipe, they replaced it with an UNVENTED one, which they fixed the second time with a correctly vented one, and I don't know whether driving with the unvented one contributed to the problem, but there it is, I ate the cost, since they didn't touch the fuel pump during the repair to the fuel pipe.) The problem is that your FUEL PUMP is about to GO BUST. You should get it fixed before you break down on a strange highway far from home. Here's what it cost me: $330 for the fuel pump. $200 for labor. My car is seven years old, 1995 900 SE. As soon as they replaced the fuel pump, the gas gauge was back to normal. Sorry for the bad news. Try and get a good estimate. Best of luck, VS
