In my (limited) experience, idling that see-saws up and down is due to either the idle control valve sticking, the butterfly valve in the inlet missing, (both sometimes cured by cleaning), vacuum leak (butane gas test works :)) or in my case when I had a hole in the front pipe. The lambda probe was getting/giving the wrong information I assume, as a short while after the new pipe was fitted it worked fine. Don't go to the main franchise exhaust places (Kwik-Fit and the like) as they will tell you it's a main agent part. I went to a local independent place that stocked QED exhausts, who list front flexible pipes for the 9000 2.3 at least, and Partco stock them as well. In the end the local exhaust place ordered every type there was (4 of them) and 1 fitted. I think they are in the Walker catalogue as well. -- Regards, Danny http://www.gaggia-espresso.com (a purely hobby site) http://www.dannyscoffee.com (UK advert for my mobile espresso service) swap Z for above characters in email address to reply
