Subject: Re: Does 9000 CS have waste gate?

You can replace the wastegate, its just bolted on the end of the turbo - but I sincerely doubt its your problem though; that jerk is just trying to steal $$$$$$ from you. The actual flapper plate inside the wastegate fell off inside mine - I can't see how a little grease would be enough to free up a wastegate that the actuator couldn't move. The blowoff valve might be malfunctioning. I agree with Keith, it sounds like an ignition problem, DI or plugs. The DI Cassette Idea is a good one - swap it with a good one to see if the problem improves. If it is bad, tell the dealer thank you, order a new one online from http://www.thesaabsite.com/9000/9000parts.htm and replace it yourself - four torx screws,a wiring plug, and five minutes. BTW fire that dealer - unless you still have a warranty.
