Hey, folks. I had a similar problem in my 1999 9-5 wagon (auto tranny)...it was an intermittent problem -- sometimes the car would shake annoyingly, other times not so much at all. I drove the dealer crazy on this but, to their credit, they stuck with me on this and FINALLY figured out that the transmission was screwed up. There is something in the tranny that engages & disenages with the turbo -- kinda like 2 rotating clutch plates. When the plates align one way the shake is very noticable. When the plates align another way the shake is almost non existent. Anyway, with the new tranny (which was 100% covered under warranty) life has been MUCH better. I have to say, though, that we will be trading this car in before the 4/40 warranty is over -- there is no way I want to own this car if I've got to be footing the repair bill on this kind of stuff. We will consider another SAAB because the dealer (Morrie's SAAB, Minnetonka, MN, USA) was so fabulous. To be honest, we haven't been all that impressed with the car itself (because we've had it in the shop quite a bit) Paul S Minnesota GrippenIN <grippeninnopsamcom> wrote in article <20020121103149.03261.00004013nopsamj.aol.com>... > I have a 2002 9-5 Linear (automatic).
