Hi, I wonder if anyone can help with this one. Adjusting the mixture on the Stromberg 175 cd I find that I cannot get it weak enough.The car is gobbling petrol and running rough at tickover. The float level has been checked as have the Diaphragm and choke mechanism. If the pipe running from carb to rocker box is disconnected (i.e. allow a little more air into the manifold) tickover speed increases dramatically. Surely this is another indicator of running rich as is the sooty exhaust? Any ideas would be very welcome Regards Ian
