Of the purchase price-17.5% is v.a.t that goes straight to the government ,10% is dealer margin so as soon as the car is through the garage doors that money is lost.At the moment there are extra bonuses to the dealers as Saab want to run out the old 93 stock before the new model comes out in September, even Saab are now subsidising all new 93s with 3 years free servicing. The trade are very cautious about buying late used cars as there is talk of Saab realigning prices with Europe, which would drop used prices further down than they are currently.
