Hi. I¥m living in Sweden and think I'm used to winter conditions. We have about 0.5 m snow here during the winter season and also temp pending from +5 deg C to -30. I have no problems driving the car in these conditions, BUT I would never have nothing else but real winter tires!! Another thing, you slide when braking as U described it, are U sure your ABS is working? Also if they are working, remember that its a different deal to drive a car with PowerBrakes and ABS!
