You don't seem like my answer, but simple fact of the matter is, that most people who want to disable these safety-mechanisms do so for the sole purpose of not having to wear a seatbelt. I merely wanted to point out that in case you don't use your seatbelts, your changes of surviving a major accident are greatly reduced. As always there are exceptions for the rule and you appear to be one of them. But you have to agree with me the chime exactly does what it was intended for, that is to annoy you so much that you want to prevent it from occuring. In this case, your reaction is just a bit different then Saab had intended :-)
