Subject: 9-3 mirror adjustment broke

Some nitwit thought he had the road to himself, when he passed me on a narrow road. He hit my driverside mirror, which made the mirror flip backward. After I returned the mirror to the original position, I discovered the electric up/down adjustment doesn't work anymore. Left/right still works fine, also the drivemotor for up/down works. But when you push the glass to adjust the mirror you can feel some resistance for left/right and practically none for up/down. So I suspect some part either came undone or broke. Can I disassemble the mirror to try to fix it myself? If so, I could use a few pointers on how to do that? greetings, Mark
