Actually, If you are going to do it yourself, It is much easier to remove the whole thing aft of the converter and replace it with the correct parts which fit. Look to www.thesaabsite.com, www.sobstory.com, or www.eeuroparts.com and get the whole system from the cat back. Cut the old system in half right in front of the rear axle and bolt in the new pieces. Much easier than trying to fit a new muffler to an old pipe. Besides, it is probably reasonable rotted from the muffler back to the point of replacement if the muffler has a hole in it. The other pipe from the muffler to the cat is fairly cheap and it does save a bit of time. YMMV, Good luck.
