Actually, I think it should be a LH2.4 as it is a US email address and the last year for a base model 8V here was 1988. The S model had 16V since '85 or '86 (I think). I would suggest turning to www.thesaabnet.com and getting on the c900 bulletin board there. It sounds like a mad Air Mass Meter to me, but it would be best to rule out other things first. The o2 sensor cannot have this much effect on fueling, but the AMM can. A simple, preliminary check to make would be to remove the bolts and clean the connections on the head near the distributor. These 2 connection points form the ground for the fuel injection system. Remove the bolt, clean and put a bit of electrical connection grease to ensure a good connection. Do this one at a time and make sure that the connections remain with the proper bolt. Make sure that the ground connection on the front of the transmission to the battery is good. This forms the only ground connection for the engine. Other than that, look here: http://216.78.172.244/engine_folder/nostart24.htm KeithG "Johan Beikes" <j.beikesnopsamdoo.nl> wrote in message news:a7qsui$29rq$1nopsamenger.euro.net... > As you describe it, i assume your car has the Bosch K-jetronic injection > system.
