I noticed today that there was a noise coming from the car when idling. A sort of slightly harsh whine. I then deduced that it only happens when in Drive (any gear) so I located the source of the whine - the gearbox. I checked the fluid. It wan't too low, but was at the refill mark. I've refilled it but the whine is still present. I recently had a very small pinprick leak from the top hose that resulted in a tiny jet spraying that side of the engine compartment, so it's possible that some water got into the transmission through the holes in the top (flywheel and another hole). Any ideas? -- Regards, Danny http://www.gaggia-espresso.com (a purely hobby site) http://www.dannyscoffee.com (UK advert for my mobile espresso service) swap Z for above characters in email address to reply
