However, it is a state by state issue for enforcement and states have their own laws on the subject due to the fact that any additional lights were illegal at the federal level up until a few years ago. So, the state laws can be more or less restrictive and it's up to the "local" cops to decide. Where I drive it's not much of an issue but if you blind a cop with some bright driving lights I'm sure he'd take offense. Bob
