We have just about the same problems here in Sweden due to salt on the roads at wintertime. I would definitely look for a set of new doors - try to get them from lets say Ą95 and fwd. They deal better with corrosion than the early 9000:s. The doors are quite easy to remove (just lift off in given position) and unhook set of cables. By the way, the cable stick will not fit your old 9000, but problems are there for solving....? I have repared (not replaced) thew doors on my wifes 9000, but the rust came back in just a couple of years - so I canĄt recommend that....
