Just for some context, the design life of (some) cars is about 100,000 miles over 10 years. That works out in most usage analyses to about 4500 hours of drive time, at an average speed. If the headlights are on 50% of the time, your 2000 hour bulb might last the life of the car. However, the H7 with a life of 500 hours can be expected to be replaced four to five times over the life of the vehicle, more with a high mileage car. Also, my complaint about SAAB bulbs is for H7s, which are not HID or xenon, even when blue.
