I have recently placed an order for a 9-5, however there was no ex-stock, so I was told the car will be scheduled for April production. As a result, the car will only arrive in late June. For the purpose of retaining my existing car registration number, I have to produce the VIN and engine number of the new car. Salesperson said that the details can only be sure when the car arrive in the country. Can any anyone share some knowledge on whether these information will be available to the dealer during: 1. start of production line? 2. completion of production line? 3. before the car leaves the Sweden factory?
