Subject: 89 9kt cd won't start when warm

Sometimes. First 85 F day here in IN and I remember this annoyance as I come out of the store to the hot car, turn the key and nothing happens. I apply my honkie voodoo ritual of turning off light switch, taking key out putting back in, questioning the car's devotion, and it finally turns over and starts just normally. These rituals aren't really necessary I think, just gives me something to do while something cools off. Never happens when not hot, so I prefer the relay theory over the ignition switch theory. Comments or additional suggestions? Where is the friggin relay and what kind can I substitute to test that theory? I really don't want to think about an ignition switch after that Midas jobby.
