I understand there might be a way to reduce the size of the plate that is inside the Automatic Idle Control (make the one that the flapper rests against smaller by grinding it off a little) thus reducing the airflow and the idle will lower as well. I have a couple of garages on alert to save me an old AIC when they get one so that I can take it apart and investigate before any major surgery on the real thing. Hope we get this little project to work. If you want to volunteer your car, let me know! Ha! Ha!
