Subject: Re: 90 900 Check Engine light

I have -92/93 900i 16V and it lights this CE-light occasionally, usually after when I have accelerated. Couple times in a month. Car is running fine though. Local workshop chief said that it's nothing to worry about, said that it's most likely the fuel mixture going too rich (or opposite) for a moment. He said that of course I could change the lambda sensor etc. but usually they don't help at all. And the light has gone off after few kilometers drove, max. ten kilometers. He said that if the car starts to run bad and the light is on then I should take care, otherwise just drive on.
