I found that judicious use of the cruise control made all the difference - keeping at a steady 80 on the motorway using my right foot as control I got lower consumption that letting the cruise do its job. Apart from that, not must to it really - just careful driving, and getting into a higher gear as quickly as possible - but when the car quite happily went into 5th gear at 30mph, that wasn't too difficult! Of course if I let my hair down and had some fun, those figures went out the window ;-) but for everyday driving, and an overall average, that's what I got. H.
