I found a 9000 in a local scrapyard today (who denied they had one when I phoned!) - Toby - there may be a passenger mirror on it, I didn't look as that side of the vehicle was against a fence, but it appeared to only have rear end damage. Anyway, I was looking for an idle control valve, and although this vehicle is a 1988 Carlsson turbo 2.3 and mine is a 1990 2.3 na, the idle control looked the same, but I was in a friends car, so couldn't verify. I took a chance, and also took the DI cassette. I was a bit surprised when I went to pay - they charged me £25 for the valve, yet only £5 for the DI. When I got home I found the DI cassette works fine, and appears to be almost new compared to mine, so now I've got a spare (how much are these things?), but the idle control valve is different - it has a 3 pin connector whereas mine is a 2 pin :) Looks about the same size with the same two hose connections in the same orientation. Is there any way I can adapt it to fit my saab? What's the difference between the 2 and 3 pin versions? -- Regards, Danny http://www.gaggia-espresso.com (a purely hobby site) http://www.dannyscoffee.com (UK advert for my mobile espresso service) swap Z for above characters in email address to reply
