The Aero tyres are a good balance between performance, roadholding, and the negative compromises of tyre noise. If I were looking to buy a car secondhand, it would put me off buying the car as well if it had non standard tyres. The other thing, you'd have to notify the insurance company as the car has technically been modified - they may or may not charge you more money. You may have the problems you identify with lock, clearance as well. As a drawback, you are going to also suffer increased road noise, and the Aero doesn't need more road noise over and above its standard fit tyre dimensions. You'll also be subjecting the steering to increased turning load forces, and will most likely be increasing the unsprung weight, not to mention, decreasing fuel economy. All for a few mm extra width. I'm not saying you shouldn't - but I'm interested to know what advantages you feel you will gain that outweigh all the disadvantages? The Aero is pretty well set up in stock form. Simon
