I had a noise on the front end of my '99 93 turned out to be the wheel bearing but it took ages for it to develop - the bearing cooked itself into the hub so there was a lubrication problem in the sealed bearing. Hold the top of the wheels and shake vigorously in and out, if you feel any movement the bearing may be at fault.
