The compressibility of water and brake fluid differ. The light goes off when max pressure is reached. Add more water to the brake fluid, light takes longer to go off. I'm sure there are others who can explain the physics better than me! However, for the record, years of experience with 9000s has also shown that, with new brake fluid, the light goes off quicker. Perhaps you'd like to try a little experiment where you fill your reservoir up with water, then let us know the results? As for the connection between ABS/TCS? The two systems use the same sensors on the wheels, the same high pressure pump, the same pipework, the same fluid and reservoir, and the same nut behind the wheel to trigger both!! That linked enough for you? Or am I still guessing? Pete.
