Does anyone make an aftermarket dipstick/cap assembly that gives some indication of oil level (say, with a flattenened end that has a couple of holes drilled in it)? That bullet thing is the single feature on an otherwise great car that was engineered by someone with a powerful taste for a specific type of mushroom. The plastic acts like a wick; there's never a discernible oil line. Is the level taken with the cap in the locked or unlocked position? There seems to be enough vertical travel to account for a third of a litre. The manual writeup assumes a conventional Honda/Buick/garden tractor configuration. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
